Special Systems

Daddi Long Legs™ - Light to Medium Pressure for Pigeons – Light Pressure Areas for Seagulls
This system is appropriate where surfaces require regular access for maintenance, such as Silo Tops, Air Conditioning Units, Ventilation Plant, and Street Lights for example.
This system offers a unique answer to bird problems in areas which need to be accessed for regular maintenance work. The stainless steel wires are tipped with plastic to ensure that neither birds nor humans can be injured. The upper part of the system, which bears the wires, rotates in the wind or when the bird contacts it. The wires wave about, which is not only irritating to the birds but also interferes with attempts to land or take off.

Barrier Coil™
The Barrier Coil™ is suitable for pigeons only and in light pressure situations.
It is usually installed on long ledges, sills, parapets, ridges, girders and signs. The coil presents a physical barrier to the birds landing and is an unstable platform for them to stand on. The system offers a unique answer to light pressure pigeon problems in areas which need to be accessed for regular maintenance work. Other systems used in such areas would tend to be damaged by this activity. It can even be stood upon and will then spring back into shape.

Bird Repellent Gell - Light Pressure Areas
For pigeons and starlings in light pressure areas. The ‘Gell’ is applied directly to the surface, using a caulking gun and then sealed with a special fluid. This is Avery cost effective and efficient system and is virtually impossible to see from just a few metres away. The gel forms an unstable surface for the birds to stand on. As they don’t like the feeling they tend to move away.

Bristle Strip
This can be fitted to both the top and bottom of doors to prevent birds, such as sparrows and rodents, such as mice, from gaining entry to a building. Bristle Strip can also be used to proof other entry points to a building where moving ropes or cables enter and leave.

Wire Meshes
Where birds are nesting or roosting at night a physical mesh barrier may be required to solve the problem, but it may not be possible to use plastic netting such as in areas within reach of the public or where it is impossible to attach a tensioned wire suspension system. In these situations, wire mesh can often be cut and bent to fit in place, or special shaped products such as chimney balloons are available.
